Tigrayans in Adi Da’iro praying in a destroyed church: ‘O Lord, Be merciful to us’ (Footage)
On Sunday, November 15, 2020, around between 12:00 and 13:00, Inda Mariam Medhanit (the Church of Saint Mary of the Merciful) of Adi Daero was hit by three artilleries fired from the side of Adi Nebri-id (Adi Nebrid on the map below). The church’s west side, the roof and the entrance have been destroyed. Eritrean and Ethiopian troops attacked the area on the date above, but eyewitnesses said that it was Eritrean troops that shelled the church.

The footage was recorded on Monday, November 30, 2020. Despite the fact that the church is destroyed, the faithful are seen praying and having service in it. November 30 is a special day, the big day of Saint Mary of Tsion, celebrated mainly in Aksum, but also across Tigray’s countless parishes that are named after Saint Mary. In the footage, the faithful are supplicating their God to have mercy on humanity. They are specifically saying “O Lord, Be merciful to us”.
According to our sources, 4 people died from the artilleries fired at the church. The church is said to be founded in the 15th century. The church can be googled by the plus codes address of 85CH+66 Adi Dairo, Ethiopia or seen below on Google maps.
Another church, the Church of Abune Aregawi has also been targeted, and sustained some damage. Other churches in the countryside have also been targeted with many artilleries landing in their compounds and nearby areas.

አይደለም እንደ ማስቲካ የምታላምጡትን የዘር ፖለቲካችሁን በአሁኑ ወቅት ሥልጣን ላይ ያለዉ መንግሥት ማን እንደሆነ ስሙን ንገረኝ ቢባል መመለሥ የማይችል ሌት ተቀን በበረሃ ከአረምና ና ከጦጣ እህሉን ለማስጣል ደፋቀና የሚል እንቅልፍ የሌለዉ ጨዋዉን የአማራ ህዝብ ለናንተ የፖለቲካ ትርፍ ና ሥልጣን በማያዉቀዉ ነገር ይሞታል፥፥በአቅራቢያቸዉ ያለዉ ከተማ አይተዉ የማያዉቁ ብዙ በተለምዶ የአማራ ተወላጆች የሚባሉ ንፁሓን ያጋጥሙናል፨የዚህ ሁሉ ወንጀል ተጠያቂዎች ሙሁር ተብየዎቹ በዉጭ ሀገር የሚኖሩ እና በሀገር ዉስጥ የብልፅግና ፓርቲ የአቢይ ደጋፊዎች ናቸዉ ፥፥እኔ እንደነዚህ ያሉ ወንጀለኞች ከያሉበት ተይዘዉ ለፍርድ እንዲቀርቡ ከመመኘት በዘለለ ከየትኛዉም አካል ጋር ይህን ለማስፈፀም እሰራለሁ፥፥ሁሉም ሊረዳዉ የሚገባ ነገር ቢኖር ሀሉ አማራ ፥ኦሮሞ፥ትግራዋይ ፥ ሆነ በተለምዶ አነጋገር አናሳ ተብሎ የሚጠራዉ(የሰዉ አናሳ የለዉም የአለም ቋንቋ ነዉ ክፉዎች የፈጠሩትና ሌላዉን ለማኮሰስ የሚጠቀሙበት)ሁሉንም በጥቅሉና በጅምላ ጠላት ና ጅምላ ጨፍጫፊ አድርጋቹ በመቁጠርና በማየት ብሎም በመፈረጅና በሀሰት አሳልፎ በመሥጠት ለበቀል አትነሳሱ፥በየትኛዉም የጎሳና የብሔር አባላት ላይ ትንኮሳና ግድያ አትፈፅሙ፥የመሥታወት ቤት ያለዉ ሰዉ ድንጋይ ወደ ጎረቤቱ መወርወር የለበትም እንደተባለ ከእናንተ ወገን ራሳቸዉን ማዳን የማይችሉ ሕፃናትና እናቶች እንዳሏቹ አስቡ፥ ለነገሩ ለሥልጣንና ለፖለቲካ ትርፋቹ ነዉ እንጂ ለአማራ ይሁን ለየትኛዉም ንፁህ ዜጋ እንደማታስቡ ሁላችንም የማንስተዉ ሀቅ ነዉ፥፥አሜሪካ እናንተን አሣልፋ ለህግ ካላቀረበች ጅምላ ጭፍጨፋን አወግዛለሁ ማለቷ ከንቱ ትርጉም ያጣ ድርጊት ነዉ፥ጅምላ ጭፍጨፋን የሚደግፉ የጨለማ የሰይጣን ልጆችን እናንተን የአማራ ልሂቃንን አቅፋ እንደልባቹ እንደሰፈራቹ እንድታቅራሩ መፍቀዷ የመናገር መብታቹ ጅምላ ጭፍጨፋን እስከ መደገፍ ድረስ ይሆን፧፧በኢሳያስንና በህግደፍ ስም ጥገኝነትን በጠየቃቹሁበት ሀገር ኢሳያስንና አቢይን እስከመደገፍ መብት እንዲኖራቹ ተሰጧቹ ይሆን ፧፧ የአዉሮፖ ህብረት ይህንን አልታየዉ ብሎ ይሆን ኢሳያስንና ህግደፍን እናጅምላ ጭፍጨፋዉን በመደገፍ ኤርትራዉያን ለሰልፍ ሲወጡ አላየም ይሆን ፧፧ከዚህ ዝምታ እና ቸልተኝነት ጀርባ አንድ ድብቅ ምሥጢር አለ ብለን ለጊዜ በጊዜው መልሱን እንዲሰጠን እንተዉለት፥፥
