On Monday December 7, 2020, the “Ministry of Peace” of Ethiopia conducted a virtual fundraising event for the war on Tigray. A verified twitter account of the ministry tweeted that Ethiopian diaspora raised $21,000 in a day via online fundraising organized by the ministry and a global diaspora alliance
The ministry’s also announced, on its Facebook page, that a total of $330,000 have been collected via GoFundMe from the diaspora for a similar purpose.
